About

POCILGA is an auteur film production company founded in 2010 by BÁRBARA PESTAN and JAVIERA VÉLIZ motivated by creating a diverse and experimental high-quality cinema.

We believe that cinema is an experience that is capable of sensibly immersing the spectator, opening up new spaces for interpretation and reflection.

We seek to explore new languages, formats and media, creating from our experiences and studies in film, visual arts and theater.

In addition to the traditional distribution in cinemas, we look for alternative exhibition windows, taking our works to new unexplored Chilean territories.

Our most recent production "Living there ...", co-produced with Brazil, was premiered at Cinéma du Réel in 2019, winning the Tënk award.
